Women’s Vital Fashion Accessory – Guess What?

Handbags are the most preferred fashion accessory for every woman, varying from small to large sizes, used to carry their personal items. It’s a fashion accessory for women as well as a useful accessory that helps them carry all their necessities. Handbags come in various designs, shapes & sizes that could be used by women in various occasions.

There are various kinds of handbags that are apt for various occasions. A wrong kind of handbag carried by a woman at an unsuitable occasion completely distorts her appearance and fashion statement. So, women have always got to take care to match their handbags and the occasion they use if for.

Some of the different kinds of handbags are:

Clutch: A small rectangular purse without a handle to be hand held by women. Such clutches go well with formals and give a classy look. When carried by women wearing a saree, it’s great!

Satchels: It’s a bag with a long strap worn across the shoulder. It’s worn with casuals and most by students. Especially when worn with western outfits, it gives a classy look. It gives a trendy look to both guys & girls. It comes in various styles, patch works, embroidery, denim material and many more designs. It’s being preferred by majority of the youth.

Shoulder Strap Bag: It’s the bag preferred by 80% of the women today. Such bags come in a very wide variety in various styles & sizes. It consists of a short strap hung over the shoulders; it may consist of a single or a double strap. These bags are not suitable for formal outfits, but they go very well with semi formals and casuals.

Tote Bags: Tote bags are usually larger in size made up of materials such as jute, heavy canvas, heavy nylon and similar materials. But, these days, such bags are made from recycled materials. Such bags are very useful when we go to grocery shops and when we do some simple shopping. I would suggest people to go in for tote bags, since they are eco friendly and also affordable.

Duffel: These are long horizontal cylindrical bags, similar to clutches that give a very grand look to the person carrying it. They are mostly embedded with stones or have embroidery designs giving a classy look. Duffels are apt to be carried in parties or functions.

Half moon bags (or) Hobo bags: Such bags are in a half moon shape made up of soft materials very apt to be carried with casual outfits. Such bags have a long strap to be hung around the shoulders. They go well with jeans, skirts and other casual outfits.

Muff: A small clutch like bag made up of fur, wool or velvet with compartments inside for holding various things and they’ve got no straps but a clip that’s got to be clutched. It has to be handheld which looks neat & good.

Therefore, every woman has to take care to select the bags apt for the occasion, be it a wedding party, casual outings, shopping, college going or any other visit. The bag women carry must suit the occasion and the outfit they are in. Since handbag is a vital fashion accessory, great care has to be taken while selecting them. Because they are capable of distorting the entire look of the person, or they can even misinterpret the fashion statement of a woman.

Lingerie Guide – Camisoles

Among the under garment world there exists a small top with spaghetti string straps. These garments are called camisoles and are wonderful outfits for sleeping or for a romantic sexy night with someone special. They are generally made of several different materials including cotton, satin, silk or nylon. Some of the fabric has solid sections with sheer or netting in discrete places. This makes for a nice view!

These camisoles are usually a set with a t-shirt style top that comes down to the waist and a matching panty. Some shirts are short-sleeved while others have the straps. There are full and crotchless panties with full or open bust shirts. No matter your personal preference, all camisoles are full of comfort and completely sexy. Nowadays camisoles are not only worn as under garments but are frequently found under a favorite shirt or jacket to give a classy, sexy look to any ensemble. They are almost always form fitting so as to accent curves in a subtle, sensuous manner. Like many other words in our vocabulary, the name has been shortened from camisole to “cami” as of late. (Interestingly, camisole in clinical terms means straightjacket. Have fun with that one, but don’t go nuts!) Some camis even have an underwire for support, while others are made of Spandex for support and control.

Camisoles are versatile. That lovely white blouse you love to wear to the club – the one that is a bit too see-through – can have a cami worn underneath it to look stylish and sexy with just a bit of conservatism so as to not be too revealing. How about that navy denim jacket you have been dying to wear if only you could find the right blouse? Well, a cami is the answer for this fashion frustration with a sporty, sexy look. Also, throw a cami over your bathing suit while on the way to the beach or pool, or even wear it by itself to sunbathe. The uses are endless so use your imagination!

Camisoles are a “must have” in your wardrobe ‘ and lots of them! You can get them inexpensively in a variety of styles, colors, and even prints. Have a whole collection of them so that when the mood strikes, you have the right cami to fit your needs. They can be worn casually, professionally or for sexy fun on a dreamy evening out or in. They look great in private settings and in the public eye, and are simply a fantastic piece of clothing everyone should have on hand. Buy them, wear them, accessorize with them, build an outfit around them, or simply wear them with nothing else. They are sexy and comfortable any way you look at it!

Brief History of Sunglasses

One should never leave home without your trusty pair of sunglasses, especially on a sunny day, no matter what season. Although fashion tends to dictate which styles of sunglasses are trendy, you should look to make sure that the sunglasses you decide to purchase are able to block out 100% of harmful UV rays. This article will explain a brief history of sunglasses starting off with the five most popular models of sunglasses that have been worn throughout the last 70 years.

Wraparound Shades

Largely first made popular in the early 1990s wraparound sunglasses are the number one choice for athletes, from regular teams sports to extreme sports.

Oversized Sunglasses

Oversized sunglasses first became popular in the 1960’s when women purchased them to mimic the ones famously worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. They have recently made a comeback once again in the 21st century and their popularity is largely due to fashionistas like Paris Hilton.

Teashade Sunglasses

Teashades, also known as John Lennon glasses, were very popular in the 1960’s, but have largely fallen out of fashion since then. It is rumoured that they are making a comeback with recent paparazzi photos of famous actresses and musicians sporting the teashade frames.

Aviators

The Aviator design was introduced in 1936 specifically for U.S. military pilots and was not made available to the public until a few years later. In 1986 Tom Cruise popularized Aviators as ace pilot Maverick in the movie Top Gun.

Ray-Ban Wayfarer

Created in 1952 Ray-Ban’s Wayfarer sunglasses opted for plastic frames rather than the tradition metal ones. Originally developed for pilots, Wayfarers quickly became popular amongst Hollywood stars like Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. In 1961 Audrey Hepburn wore them in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Tom Cruise sported them in the 1983 film Risky Business. Even today the Wayfarer is still a popular model of sunglasses.

Although sunglasses have been a popular fashion accessory in the last 70 years, sunglasses actually date back much further in history. The first ever ‘sunglasses’ were made from walrus ivory and date back to prehistoric times. Inuit peoples fashioned flattened walrus ivory with narrow slits to help protect their eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. In arctic regions unprotected eyes will be affected by what is known as snow blindness.

It wasn’t until the 12th century that we have written evidence of sunglasses being used in China. These first sunglasses where comprised of flat panes of smoky quartz and were used to protect the eyes from the sun. The 20th century is when the use of sunglasses really took off. In 1929 Sam Foster began mass-producing sunglasses for the American public and from there many companies flourished by simply making sunglasses.

So whether your choice of wearing sunglasses is due to fashion or simply a choice to protect your eyes from the sun, remember that sunglasses do not have to be expensive to work properly. They should however be able to protect your eyes from UV rays. A good pair of sunglasses, whether they are a designer pair or cheap knockoffs, should be able to block out 100% of harmful UV rays.

Enjoy Spring’s Bold Trends With Ladies Tunics And Tops

Most women have already had a look at this season’s fashion trends, and many are planning on updating their wardrobe with the runway’s latest aquatic colors and vintage prints. However, not everyone can spare the cash for an entirely new spring wardrobe. Instead by adding just a few fashion-forward pieces to their closet, women can ensure their style never grows old without break their budget.

Of course, the first items on any fashionista’s list usually include Ladies tops. These are popular purchases among women since they tend to be the most budget-friendly, yet versatile pieces of clothing. This year’s choices in tops are rather eclectic, including strappy camisoles, tailored shirts, vintage tees, and ruffled blouses. Ladies tunics have remained strong in the seasonal line-up, so anyone can keep up with the newest trends regardless of their taste or body shape.

Spring 2012 has ushered in a fascinating contrast of trends, from prim pastels and ruffles to abstract prints in saturated shades of indigo, poppy red, canary yellow and hyacinth blue. Since catwalk ensembles are not always wearable for the average woman, designers have also applied these new styles and textures to everyday wardrobe pieces like Ladies tops and tunics. Now that most women’s clothing stores are stocked with these diverse collections, one can find boxy menswear styles right next to ethereal pieces infused with the gauzy glamour of the 1920s. Nautical, preppy, or funky retro cuts are all fair game for the season, and one can echo any of these trends in her choice of tops.

Tunics are among the most popular wardrobe pieces for spring or fall since the weather is quite variable during these transitional seasons. This style is no longer limited to those stereotypical hippie tie-die numbers or frumpy, shapeless pullovers. The modern tunic is extremely versatile, and one can find these tops in a huge array of fabrics, cuts and styles. Tailored or form-fitting styles made from sumptuous fabrics like silk or cashmere create elegant silhouettes, while casual varieties in cotton and organic blends are perfect for that flowing, bohemian look. A sexy deep V-neck is perfect for a hot date or “girls’ night out”, and daytime styles flatter the figure with details like contrasting piping or lace trims. One can pair a tunic with a skirt, leggings, jeans or even shorts since these shirts can have any sleeve style or no sleeves at all. A tunic with an eye-catching graphic print or sparkling accents may make a statement on its own, while a plainer style provides the foundation for a funky belt, exotic jewelry and other bold accessories. Longer tunics may double as short dresses or swimsuit covers, while belted varieties can serve as light jackets on blustery days.

Online Fashion Shopping – A Guide for the Modern Man

Online fashion shopping is gaining popularity all over the world. Retailers with internet presence are offering their clients with more choices through this platform. If you think about it, shopping online is better than going to the store. It is quick and convenient, and it is easier to browse through the different choices available. Some retailers also feature marked down items and seasonal sales for online shoppers.

What items should you expect when looking for men’s clothing online?

One great thing about shopping online is like being at the store without leaving the comfort of your home or office. You can browse through various outfit selections and simply click a button to add an item to your shopping cart. Here are some of the pieces you can expect to see from online retailers.

Suits

More retailers are offering suits in their line-up. It is the most elegant piece a man can wear; even some fashion experts say the suit defines the man. This is why it is important that it fits well and looks good on you. You have to think about quality – it should have the right cut and colour, and made from the right fabric.

The most common style today is the two-piece suit consisting of pants and a jacket. As for the fabric, wool is the perennial favourite and is a timeless classic. Wool is crease-resistant and drapes elegantly. It is a fabric that works and looks well even during hot summers. When doing online fashion shopping, look for retailers with custom suits featuring tailored cuts. Look into the quality of fabrics used as well as the overall look of the suit.

Shirts

A man can never have enough shirts. They are perhaps the most flexible item of clothing you can own. Long sleeves are great for formal or semi-formal use, and can be great casual wear as well. The same goes for short-sleeved button downs.

Find retailers with many design options when searching for men’s clothing online. Bold colours are great for suits. Plaid and chequered patterns, on the other hand, are classic and great for casual use. Every man should also have a collection of t-shirts and polos for basic everyday use. Be sure to buy a good mix of classic and trendy pieces.

Pants and denims

An ensemble is not complete without great pants. Most men limit themselves to denims. While there is no problem with that, a modern and fashionable man has other pieces in his closet. Look for retailers with a collection of dress pants, chinos, and denims. The days of having just blue, beige, and black pants are long gone. Spice up your wardrobe with the addition of other colours.
